A Quick Mental Wellness Reminder

Summer is usually a time that many people notice a reduction in (dis)stress. However, if you are one of the many who continues to feel anxious, depressed, or otherwise mentally unwell, here are a few things to remember:

  • Exercise regularly (research has found that 30  minutes of exercise 5 times per week is very effective at reducing depressive symptoms)
  • Get out in nature
  • Take up a new hobby or learn a new skill (KeepItSimpleMakeItFun)
  • Play or be creative
  • Help others
  • Practice relaxation skills
  • Eat healthy
  • Get enough sleep
  • Connect with others

Just a few minutes a day can really make a difference. You’re worth it!!
